Medical Geochemistry is a new area of research in the Earth Science discipline which uses methods and approaches from organic  geochemistry and paelogenetic research and applies them to determine the interactions between the environment,  geology and humans (e.g. gallstone formation through to cancer research). WA-OIG have formed a strong collaboration with the new Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth.
