Biochemical pathways

plagiomnium

Establishing the biochemical pathways and biogeochemical cycling of the elements carbon, hydrogen, sulfur and nitrogen using compound specific isotopes and molecular fossils/ lipids toresolve metabolic relationships between organic compounds in living (eukaryotes, bacteria and archae) organisms and microbialites (e.g. stromatolites, thrombolites and microbial mats).
